how long have u been skating?

4-5 years? i think since 1998

Well I love to roll, I am not doing anything now, waiting to get my parents to sponsor me back to school So now just bumming I am an adrenaline addict *Joyah breathes*

so u're a bummer...are u married?

no....not yet don't intend to until i am financially stable

Well, back in the days, 5-0 used to wear bermudas. HAH! well back then, the rolling community was small. Everybody who rolled would know almost everybody else. There were a lot of posers then, just people who rolled just cos it was cool THese people don't roll no more sadly my crew comprised of mostly those people But what can I do, rolling wasn't really in their heart. I remember when I first started the only aggro skates available where M12s and Argons My first aggroskates were argons. They were big, bulky, heavy like shit and not flexible Skates have evolved a lot in this short time So has skating.

so after all that..do u prefer the old scence or the current scene...

Well, I dono, it's till kinda the same. Good thing is the posers aren't rolling no more so the people who roll are those who roll for the love of it. Not to be hip or cool. I like that the new rollers are super progressive I remember seeing guys just learning to do souls and frontsides Months later I see them pulling off truespin fishbrains I respect the effort they put into rolling THese rollers roll for the right reason and will roll for life

posers..wat is ur defination of a poser?

Posers are people who do something just to be 'in' or cool. They dono shit about the culture they don't give shit to learn tricks they just bitch and show off theire salomons and their usds Roll a bit and bitch Posers are rollers who don't have a pure love for rolling Real rollers eat, sleep shit rolling Once you start talking to them about rolling, they don't stop

Nut nutty nut nut WHen I get mu addro buzz, my eyes get all big a weird sick evil smile goes on my face I sweat like a pig] and I do tricks which I wouldn't normally do. I learnt a lot of tricks this way. When I go Nuts When I get my adrenaline That's why I am an adrenaline addict. If not, I would just be chill. skating slowly, enjoying the roll, enjoying the grind until I get my addro buzz. I miss my addro buzz been a long time since I got it Shit, I feel it even as I talk about it. That feeling when you don't feel fear and just 'feel' the 'roll' It's like a drug for me and I'm an addict to adrenaline

u give me an imperssion that you are mad,hardcore and good skater that is just hiding your identity...would u agree?.or would u have something esle to say?

I am not good or hardcore

I am just a laidback roller with a "Mr Hyde side" I am Nuts Absolutely Nuts I created this Joyah character to disturb people and it's fun.

With her I am able to say things without being judged beforehand 'cos people don't know who it is Not really Joyah is just a character Created for entertainment purposes only But I do let my views go through her altoughs she says it in an abstract manner Just for entertainment

that sounds entertaining..so tell me..wat made u got into skating?

My best friend Ady. He was the one who introduced me to "aggressive skating" He saw me at a bbq with my recy skates on and asked me if I wanted to try aggressive I didn't know what the fuck he meant 3 months later he took me out to a carpark and asked me to try to do a soul grind it started from there I was hooked on it bought my argons and never looked back altough Ady and I lost contact a few times, we'd get together and roll like we never did

so wat skates are u using now?

Khutis I wanted to get ST9s but Go Sports wasn't open on that Sunday] I went to Spitfire and got these

give ur personal preview on your khutis will ya?

I fell in love with them when I put my feet in them. Khutis Very nice comfy fit, like placing your head between a girls' tits warm cuddly feeling easy to bend for topside smooth soul, and negative But noisy very noisy, on grinds and on landings But Roces abec 5s roll like abec 3s On the elements and on the khutis they is slower than other skates abec 5 Also, hard to lock on grinds as the soul tend to slip out even if you lock on. Too smooth and no groove so the souls just slip out under you Heavy But one of the safest skates to get her in SG can get all the spare parts at spitfire, confirmed plus guarantee chop

oooh..sound like a great noisy skate..is there anithing you would like to change abt the current skating scene?

Be friendlier to rollers u don't knoe Just 'cos u rolling with a crew, don't give solo rollers 'that' look Introduce yourselves and just roll I am currently trying to get a few serious rollers together to set up a local rolling website This website will be the precursor to setting up a local aggroskaters association. If you wanna help, just let us know on UP. It's my way of giving back to rolling Yeah and more lady rollers more hard core lady rollers we have a shortage of that

taht's sound like a great contribution that skaters can put in to the scene...tell me..wat is your greatest..painest fall that u sustain from skating?

The four stitches on my chin It was at ECP, when they had the ramps there I was wearing my friends' skates, someone else was using my elements I was frontsiding this rail a few times It was a 2 foot high rail This guy came up and asked me to show him how to do a ufo frontside I went like really fast landed on the rail frontside the dam wheels schticked to the rail I was thrown forward Both my hands slammed into the floor followed by my face My palms and my jaw just went numb I waved for help from my pals, I couldn't get up I asked them to check if my teeth were broken or if I had bit my tongue I couldn't feel my jaw but for the numbing pain They brought me to the 24hr clinic at marine parade Had four stitches I went back to ECP to skate the next day Had a funny bandage on my chin for weeks looked like a white goatee Still have the scar Best part was taking out the stitches
